As promised, here’s the album of shots I got of three friends that I’ve been lucky to know for many years. The premise of the photo shoot was to simply, and casually, create a portrait of my three friends.
I ran into Inga Muscio at the Punk Rock Market a couple of months ago and got this crackpot idea to bring together three women for a photo session. Not just any three though. I took about two seconds to make a theme of it by choosing women that have made a huge impact on the well being of women on this planet. It took less than two seconds to think of Cristien Storm and Amelia Bonow. I also realized that this idea wasn’t crackpot enough, by my own standards, so I decided I would not reveal the identities of each to my friends. They basically knew why I wanted the pictures but didn’t know with who til just the other day at the park.
It worked really well.
